I understand your 1-star rating for the Second Skin – Aqua with Grey came down to pricing. I appreciate you sharing that, though I'd genuinely welcome any further thoughts you have, as customer feedback is something we take seriously and use to keep improving - the vast majority of our reviews are 5 stars, so I want to understand where we fell short for you.
On the pricing itself: your Second Skin base layer was made in a UK factory that pays a fair wage, using the finest Italian merino wool. We've deliberately never competed on price with distant factories that keep costs artificially low through unfair and abusive working practices. Whilst almost everything else has gone up with inflation and the cost of living, we've held the price of our premium base layers at the same level for the last two seasons - a decision that's come at real cost to us, but one we've made deliberately to keep quality accessible.
I'd love to hear more about what would have felt like fair value to you - it genuinely helps us going forward.

What a fantastic base layer to have on your adventures! I took my Noir base layer to South Africa for the cold, early mornings and it kept me toasty warm. So light it was super easy to transport and barely took up any space in my daypack.
I received a Noir skin for Xmas – and I'm loving it! So comfortable to wear (during or after sport), looks great (with fab styling details), and seems to stay smelling fresh way longer than any of my other skins! I've used it for running, boxing, HIT classes and paddle tennis... and it's been perfect. Top marks from me.
It is not very often that my children raid my wardrobe these days but they love to take my 'noirvelocity' hence both my 17 year old and 21 year old daughters will find one in their Xmas stocking. I have also bought one for my 81 year old mother to make her the cutting-edge granny of Clifton golf course. I always take noirvelocity when I travel as it is light, comfortable & ‘relaxed smart” - I am really impressed with your product.
